Okay so I get a lot of questions regarding what things I actually consume and why not just go on a certain “diet” and let the pounds come off easy. Here is my answer to all of the questions I have gotten over and over again (..and seriously guys, just research it!):
What food do you eat that is making you lose weight?: I don’t eat a specific, certain food. I just look at my options at the store! If it’s processed, ready-made, microwaveable (unless it’s frozen veggies), packaged and ready to eat, or canned (aside from tuna)… I DONT EAT IT!
What kind of exercising do you do?: Mainly high-intensity interval training (Insanity). Since my knees have been sensitive, I just take a morning or night jog/run. I jog the sides of the block, and run the front and backs. If I don’t have time for anything, I CLEAN! I don’t mean putting dishes away…I mean moving furniture, climbing on and off chairs to get to things, and really breaking a sweat!
Why don’t you just go on Atkins, Weight watchers, etc…?: Because a diet will help me lose weight, surely…but will not make my eating habits change for life! I’m not on a DIET, I’m on a LIFESTYLE CHANGE (and you should be too!).
Do you drink protein shakes, and take supplements?: I started off doing these things, and they did nothing for me. I researched more and deeper into the entire thing and I found much too much knowledge and reasons why NOT to do it! My main reason is simple! It’s easier explained like this: If a baby is fed formula, it will still live and there are plenty of good nutritional values (without a doubt), but if a baby drinks breast milk there is no “accidental roach legs” (and YES this happens ALL the time), there is never “we forgot vitamin B”…etc… Formula is good, but breast milk is a SURE way of fully giving your baby the BEST. The natural way is the way to go! So, in conclusion…I could drink powder all day long…but EATING the protein is much more beneficial without all of the potential hazards!
What oils do you cook with?: I generally cook with butter or PAM. I don’t cook with olive oil, I only use it fresh (in salads mainly).
Are you always hungry?: If you’re always hungry, then there is something REALLY wrong with the way you’re eating!!! Your body tells you you’re hungry for a reason! Neverrrrrr ignore those signs! It could lead to serious internal problems in the future!! If you eat wholesome, nutritional FOOD (not garbage) you will be satisfied for MUCH longer!
What are absolute DO NOT EAT foods? STARCHES! I try to stay away from yucky starches (anything white, bread, pasta, white rice, pastries, etc..). Starch is good only in moderation! It was very hard the first week, but it’s much easier if you do it right! Instead of white rice, eat brown. Instead of whole wheat or white bread, eat sprouted grain bread. Instead of craving sweet things and dying, eat honey roasted peanuts. It’s simple, you take the “bad” and make it GREAT! Starches turn into sugar, and sugar creates insulin. If the insulin doesn’t kill all of the excess sugar, your body turns it into fat! So stay away from starches!!! Do yourself that small favor! LOL!
Ever ask yourself why everyone is still fat even though all of these companies GAURANTEE you will be thin and fit if you buy their product, join their gym, or follow their diet?
The health industry is one of the largest and richest industries…but people are STILL fat and unhealthy! Diseases, health problems and malnutrition is only growing in the USA (and some other countries around the world as well). Ever wonder why? Ask yourself if you’ve fallen into this train of thought that a product will slim you down and make you thin…you probably have…and you probably either quit, didn’t lose any weight, or you lost a lot and then gained it all back once you stopped doing whatever it was you were doing. This really just happens for a few reasons…either you had cravings, didn’t like working out, or can’t afford the product you were spending money on.
What do major food chain companies and the health industry have in common (should they even have anything in common…scary)?
They have the same average consumer: The unhealthy person.
The industries have yet to fail at selling their products.
They swear their product is perfectly fine for your body.
Financial stability is surely not a problem for both industries.
Now ask yourself if that isn’t suspicious! Both industries are wealthy and people are still FAT! The growing number of child obesity and adult onset diabetes (many MANYYY other health issues as well), is pretty absurd if you ask me! Ask yourself if you have eaten at a fast food place (I have a LOT), and then ask yourself if you have tried the “promising product” that will make you healthy (I have)…. are you suddenly, magically healthy? Probably not. If you are, you haven’t stopped using that product (but you most likely will).
Let’s face it guys!!! You will NEVER be healthy, unless you change your lifestyle!!! Eat what you know is healthy! Not garbage! Back when humans had to hunt their food for survival, they walked everywhere, swam to get where they needed, ate only organic things (which we call that organic now, but how about it’s NORMAL?)! They only consumed wholesome food, and not proccessed or deep fried! Think of what you eat before you eat it!
“Research has shown 95% of those who lose weight eventually gain it back within three years. Beyond 3 years that failure rate is even worse. In reality, almost no one loses significant weight and keeps it off. The FDA has declared that not one single company in the entire weight loss industry can show a record of long-term success. This is an incredible indictment of an entire industry. Can you imagine the trouble for the automobile industry if a vast majority of vehicles quit running within three years of purchase? But the world is completely oblivious to the astounding failure rate of the diet industry.” http://www.chasefreedom.com/weightloss.html
So many people are asking me what I’m doing and if I’m using some sort of miracle product or something. The answer:
No I’m not using anything to enhance weight loss. I’m not doing anything special.
Just eating a low calorie diet (which really isn’t “low”, it’s what I’m supposed to be eating!) and I’m doing Insanity (which you don’t have to do, you can do any Max Interval Training—look it up). I use MyDailyBurn app, and MyFitnessPal app on my phone (which you can do online), they are free. I use them to count calories and to make sure I’m not eating too little or too much.
If you’re actually serious about losing weight, put down the happy meal kids. It’s time to FOCUS. It’s not hard at all…it just takes a few more minutes of cooking (as opposed to hitting up the food joint), dedication and some support. Support is important…get a freind to do it too!
I used to always say, “I’m tired of being fat”…but did I ever do anything to prevent getting fatter or have I attempted working out or dieiting? No. and you probably haven’t either. Stop being lazy, and do it.
Since i started eating right and working out, I haven’t lost much —if anything. After realizing I need to step outside of my comfort zone… I started doing Insanity and only one week into eating right and that, I have lost 3lbs! I can see a difference in my body and I’m feeling much more awake and happy! Im not sluggish and lethargic anymore. I do have to say, my knees are in so much pain and I think I injured my right shin (well it might be bruising) But I’m not giving up that easily! Hell no! I’m going to tough it up and get this weight OFF! So ready to look better and feel better!
Doing it the old fahioned way is more rewarding than using products and boosters and such. I started off using Clenbutrx for a few days, but I KNOW I can do it without it and so I stopped. I’m eating right, and excersizing. I’m stepping “outside of my comfort zone” and it feels AMAZING to know I’m doing it by myself. I’m also not cheating myself aside from once a week, I give myself a day of rest from excersizing and dieting (not all day, just one meal or snack). It’s WONDERFUL knowing I can do this on my own! My husband has been soooo supportive and I thank him for that. He doesn’t let me “cheat” or skip a workout. I’m also glad I’m not only walking/jogging/running. That only gets you so far…Insanity has done SO much for me already in just one week! It’s a great program that requires you to use your muscles naturally and not with machines, weights and whatever else have you. I feel accomplished already, and it’s only been a week of Insanity. I have been dieting for 3+ weeks, and I did the unnatural way of it…which got me NO WHERE. I am now doing it the RIGHT way and I have already lost inches off my waist! Thank goodness I am changing my life around to my benefit! And I know this weight will STAY off….because NOTHING in life comes easy (easy come. easy go!!!!!). And boy this is hard doing it the old school way haha. Feeling beyond accomplished! =]

3 eggs, 1/4 tomato, 1/4 onion, 1/3 bell pepper, garlic and salt. Total calories: approximately 400. Not so bad since I ate that as lunch (protein bar for breakfast).
Lunch: low fat turkey, lettuce, mayo and onions on whole wheat bread with half of a yellow bell pepper.
